1964 Lower Level Renovation
This empty-nester couple had been living in the home that backed up into one of the beautiful, oak tree filled canyons that epitomize the Oakland hills for over thirty years when they came to Laurel Design Collective. The lower level of their home, once a neglected kid space, was long overdue for a renovation. The new space had several required functions: media room, library, office, and play space for the grandchildren. Utilizing custom built-ins on every wall, Laurel Design Collective packed in storage. A custom sofa designed for the space provides ample seating in the media zone, while a custom desk floats in the center of the room, it’s cords hidden in the pedestal.
The adjacent spaces were also redesigned and renovated as a mud room, a full bathroom, and a wine room for the couple’s growing collection.
